Hebrews 13

NKJV 1 Let brotherly love continue. NIV 1 Keep on loving each other as brothers. NKJV 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some have unwittingly entertained angels. NIV 2 Do not forget to entertain strangers, for by so doing some people have entertained angels without knowing it. NKJV 3 Remember the prisoners as if chained with them--those who are mistreated--since you yourselves are in the body also. NIV 3 Remember those in prison as if you were their fellow prisoners, and those who are mistreated as if you yourselves were suffering. NKJV 4 Marriage is honorable among all, and the bed undefiled; but fornicators and adulterers God will judge. NIV 4 Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral. NKJV 5 Let your conduct be without covetousness; be content with such things as you have. For He Himself has said, "I will never leave you nor forsake you." NIV 5 Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you." NKJV 6 So we may boldly say: "The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?" NIV 6 So we say with confidence, "The Lord is my helper; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me?" NKJV 7 Remember those who rule over you, who have spoken the word of God to you, whose faith follow, considering the outcome of their conduct. NIV 7 Remember your leaders, who spoke the word of God to you. Consider the outcome of their way of life and imitate their faith. NKJV 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. NIV 8 Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever. NKJV 9 Do not be carried about with various and strange doctrines. For it is good that the heart be established by grace, not with foods which have not profited those who have been occupied with them. NIV 9 Do not be carried away by all kinds of strange teachings. It is good for our hearts to be strengthened by grace, not by ceremonial foods, which are of no value to those who eat them. NKJV 10 We have an altar from which those who serve the tabernacle have no right to eat. NIV 10 We have an altar from which those who minister at the tabernacle have no right to eat. NKJV 11 For the bodies of those animals, whose blood is brought into the sanctuary by the high priest for sin, are burned outside the camp. NIV 11 The high priest carries the blood of animals into the Most Holy Place as a sin offering, but the bodies are burned outside the camp. NKJV 12 Therefore Jesus also, that He might sanctify the people with His own blood, suffered outside the gate. NIV 12 And so Jesus also suffered outside the city gate to make the people holy through his own blood. NKJV 13 Therefore let us go forth to Him, outside the camp, bearing His reproach. NIV 13 Let us, then, go to him outside the camp, bearing the disgrace he bore. NKJV 14 For here we have no continuing city, but we seek the one to come. NIV 14 For here we do not have an enduring city, but we are looking for the city that is to come. NKJV 15 Therefore by Him let us continually offer the sacrifice of praise to God, that is, the fruit of our lips, giving thanks to His name. NIV 15 Through Jesus, therefore, let us continually offer to God a sacrifice of praise--the fruit of lips that confess his name. NKJV 16 But do not forget to do good and to share, for with such sacrifices God is well pleased. NIV 16 And do not forget to do good and to share with others, for with such sacrifices God is pleased. NKJV 17 Obey those who rule over you, and be submissive, for they watch out for your souls, as those who must give account. Let them do so with joy and not with grief, for that would be unprofitable for you. NIV 17 Obey your leaders and submit to their authority. They keep watch over you as men who must give an account. Obey them so that their work will be a joy, not a burden, for that would be of no advantage to you. NKJV 18 Pray for us; for we are confident that we have a good conscience, in all things desiring to live honorably. NIV 18 Pray for us. We are sure that we have a clear conscience and desire to live honorably in every way. NKJV 19 But I especially urge you to do this, that I may be restored to you the sooner. NIV 19 I particularly urge you to pray so that I may be restored to you soon. NKJV 20 Now may the God of peace who brought up our Lord Jesus from the dead, that great Shepherd of the sheep, through the blood of the everlasting covenant, NIV 20 May the God of peace, who through the blood of the eternal covenant brought back from the dead our Lord Jesus, that great Shepherd of the sheep, NKJV 21 make you complete in every good work to do His will, working in you what is well pleasing in His sight, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory forever and ever. Amen. NIV 21 equip you with everything good for doing his will, and may he work in us what is pleasing to him, through Jesus Christ, to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. NKJV 22 And I appeal to you, brethren, bear with the word of exhortation, for I have written to you in few words. NIV 22 Brothers, I urge you to bear with my word of exhortation, for I have written you only a short letter. NKJV 23 Know that our brother Timothy has been set free, with whom I shall see you if he comes shortly. NIV 23 I want you to know that our brother Timothy has been released. If he arrives soon, I will come with him to see you. NKJV 24 Greet all those who rule over you, and all the saints. Those from Italy greet you. NIV 24 Greet all your leaders and all God's people.
