Hosea 7:8-11

NRS 8 Ephraim mixes himself with the peoples; Ephraim is a cake not turned. NIV 8 "Ephraim mixes with the nations; Ephraim is a flat cake not turned over. NRS 9 Foreigners devour his strength, but he does not know it; gray hairs are sprinkled upon him, but he does not know it. NIV 9 Foreigners sap his strength, but he does not realize it. His hair is sprinkled with gray, but he does not notice. NRS 10 Israel's pride testifies against him; yet they do not return to the Lord their God, or seek him, for all this. NIV 10 Israel's arrogance testifies against him, but despite all this he does not return to the LORD his God or search for him. NRS 11 Ephraim has become like a dove, silly and without sense; they call upon Egypt, they go to Assyria.
