NIV

1 And the LORD called unto Moses, and spoke unto him out of the tabernacle of the testimony, saying,
1 The LORD called to Moses and spoke to him from the tent of meeting. He said,
2 Speak unto the sons of Israel and say unto them, When any of you offers an offering unto the LORD of animals, of cattle, even of the cows, or of the sheep ye shall make your offering.
2 “Speak to the Israelites and say to them: ‘When anyone among you brings an offering to the LORD, bring as your offering an animal from either the herd or the flock.
3 If his offering is a burnt sacrifice of the herd, let him offer a male without blemish; he shall offer it of his own free will at the door of the tabernacle of the testimony before the LORD.
3 “ ‘If the offering is a burnt offering from the herd, you are to offer a male without defect. You must present it at the entrance to the tent of meeting so that it will be acceptable to the LORD.
4 And he shall put his hand upon the head of the burnt offering, and he shall accept it to reconcile him.
4 You are to lay your hand on the head of the burnt offering, and it will be accepted on your behalf to make atonement for you.
5 Then he shall kill the bullock before the LORD; and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall offer the blood and sprinkle the blood round about upon the altar that is by the door of the tabernacle of the testimony.
5 You are to slaughter the young bull before the LORD, and then Aaron’s sons the priests shall bring the blood and splash it against the sides of the altar at the entrance to the tent of meeting.
6 And he shall flay the burnt offering and cut it into its pieces.
6 You are to skin the burnt offering and cut it into pieces.
7 And the sons of Aaron, the priest, shall put fire upon the altar and lay the wood in order upon the fire.
7 The sons of Aaron the priest are to put fire on the altar and arrange wood on the fire.
8 Then the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall lay the parts, the head and the fat, in order upon the wood that is on the fire which shall be upon the altar;
8 Then Aaron’s sons the priests shall arrange the pieces, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar.
9 but he shall wash its intestines and its legs in water, and the priest shall incense it all on the altar, to be a burnt sacrifice, an offering on fire, of a very acceptable aroma unto the LORD.
9 You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to burn all of it on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
10 And if his offering is of the sheep, namely of the lambs or of the goats, for a burnt sacrifice, he shall offer a male without blemish.
10 “ ‘If the offering is a burnt offering from the flock, from either the sheep or the goats, you are to offer a male without defect.
11 And he must kill it on the side of the altar, to the Aquilon before the LORD; and the priests, Aaron’s sons, shall sprinkle its blood round about upon the altar.
11 You are to slaughter it at the north side of the altar before the LORD, and Aaron’s sons the priests shall splash its blood against the sides of the altar.
12 And he shall cut it into its pieces, with its head and its fat; and the priest shall lay them in order on the wood that is on the fire which shall be upon the altar;
12 You are to cut it into pieces, and the priest shall arrange them, including the head and the fat, on the wood that is burning on the altar.
13 and he shall wash the inwards and the legs with water; and the priest shall offer it all and incense it upon the altar; it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering on fire, of a very acceptable aroma unto the LORD.
13 You are to wash the internal organs and the legs with water, and the priest is to bring all of them and burn them on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
14 And if the burnt sacrifice for his offering to the LORD is to be of fowls, then he shall bring his offering of turtledoves or of young pigeons.
14 “ ‘If the offering to the LORD is a burnt offering of birds, you are to offer a dove or a young pigeon.
15 And the priest shall offer it upon the altar and wring off its head and incense it on the altar; and its blood shall be wrung out upon the side of the altar:
15 The priest shall bring it to the altar, wring off the head and burn it on the altar; its blood shall be drained out on the side of the altar.
16 And he shall pluck away its crop and its feathers and cast them beside the altar on the east part, by the place of the ashes with the burnt fat.
16 He is to remove the crop and the feathers and throw them down east of the altar where the ashes are.
17 And he shall cleave it by its wings but shall not divide it in two; and the priest shall incense it upon the altar, upon the wood that is upon the fire; it is a burnt sacrifice, an offering on fire of a very acceptable aroma unto the LORD.
17 He shall tear it open by the wings, not dividing it completely, and then the priest shall burn it on the wood that is burning on the altar. It is a burnt offering, a food offering, an aroma pleasing to the LORD.
