Luke 22:39-46

NAS 39 And He came out and proceeded as was His custom to the Mount of Olives; and the disciples also followed Him. NIV 39 Jesus went out as usual to the Mount of Olives, and his disciples followed him. NAS 40 When He arrived at the place, He said to them, "Pray that you may not enter into temptation." NIV 40 On reaching the place, he said to them, "Pray that you will not fall into temptation." NAS 41 And He withdrew from them about a stone's throw, and He knelt down and began to pray, NIV 41 He withdrew about a stone's throw beyond them, knelt down and prayed, NAS 42 saying, "Father, if You are willing, remove this cup from Me; yet not My will, but Yours be done." NIV 42 "Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done." NAS 43 Now an angel from heaven appeared to Him, strengthening Him. NIV 43 An angel from heaven appeared to him and strengthened him. NAS 44 And being in agony He was praying very fervently; and His sweat became like drops of blood, falling down upon the ground. NIV 44 And being in anguish, he prayed more earnestly, and his sweat was like drops of blood falling to the ground. NAS 45 When He rose from prayer, He came to the disciples and found them sleeping from sorrow, NIV 45 When he rose from prayer and went back to the disciples, he found them asleep, exhausted from sorrow. NAS 46 and said to them, "Why are you sleeping? Get up and pray that you may not enter into temptation." NIV 46 "Why are you sleeping?" he asked them. "Get up and pray so that you will not fall into temptation."
