Mark 14:12-26

NAS 12 On the first day of Unleavened Bread, when the Passover lamb was being sacrificed, His disciples said to Him, "Where do You want us to go and prepare for You to eat the Passover?" NIV 12 On the first day of the Feast of Unleavened Bread, when it was customary to sacrifice the Passover lamb, Jesus' disciples asked him, "Where do you want us to go and make preparations for you to eat the Passover?" NAS 13 And He sent two of His disciples and said to them, "Go into the city, and a man will meet you carrying a pitcher of water; follow him; NIV 13 So he sent two of his disciples, telling them, "Go into the city, and a man carrying a jar of water will meet you. Follow him. NAS 14 and wherever he enters, say to the owner of the house, 'The Teacher says, "Where is My guest room in which I may eat the Passover with My disciples?"' NIV 14 Say to the owner of the house he enters, 'The Teacher asks: Where is my guest room, where I may eat the Passover with my disciples?' NAS 15 "And he himself will show you a large upper room furnished and ready; prepare for us there." NIV 15 He will show you a large upper room, furnished and ready. Make preparations for us there." NAS 16 The disciples went out and came to the city, and found it just as He had told them; and they prepared the Passover. NIV 16 The disciples left, went into the city and found things just as Jesus had told them. So they prepared the Passover. NAS 17 When it was evening He came with the twelve. NIV 17 When evening came, Jesus arrived with the Twelve. NAS 18 As they were reclining at the table and eating, Jesus said, "Truly I say to you that one of you will betray Me-one who is eating with Me." NIV 18 While they were reclining at the table eating, he said, "I tell you the truth, one of you will betray me--one who is eating with me." NAS 19 They began to be grieved and to say to Him one by one, "Surely not I?" NIV 19 They were saddened, and one by one they said to him, "Surely not I?" NAS 20 And He said to them, "It is one of the twelve, one who dips with Me in the bowl. NIV 20 "It is one of the Twelve," he replied, "one who dips bread into the bowl with me. NAS 21 "For the Son of Man is to go just as it is written of Him; but woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed! It would have been good for that man if he had not been born." NIV 21 The Son of Man will go just as it is written about him. But woe to that man who betrays the Son of Man! It would be better for him if he had not been born." NAS 22 While they were eating, He took some bread, and after a blessing He broke it, and gave it to them, and said, "Take it; this is My body." NIV 22 While they were eating, Jesus took bread, gave thanks and broke it, and gave it to his disciples, saying, "Take it; this is my body." NAS 23 And when He had taken a cup and given thanks, He gave it to them, and they all drank from it. NIV 23 Then he took the cup, gave thanks and offered it to them, and they all drank from it. NAS 24 And He said to them, "This is My blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many. NIV 24 "This is my blood of the covenant, which is poured out for many," he said to them. NAS 25 "Truly I say to you, I will never again drink of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it new in the kingdom of God." NIV 25 "I tell you the truth, I will not drink again of the fruit of the vine until that day when I drink it anew in the kingdom of God." NAS 26 After singing a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives. NIV 26 When they had sung a hymn, they went out to the Mount of Olives.
