NIV 3 and you present to the LORD offerings made by fire, from the herd or the flock, as an aroma pleasing to the LORD --whether burnt offerings or sacrifices, for special vows or freewill offerings or festival offerings-- NAS 4 'The one who presents his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of one-tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-fourth of a hin of oil, NIV 4 then the one who brings his offering shall present to the LORD a grain offering of a tenth of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a quarter of a hin of oil. NAS 5 and you shall prepare wine for the drink offering, one-fourth of a hin, with the burnt offering or for the sacrifice, for each lamb. NIV 5 With each lamb for the burnt offering or the sacrifice, prepare a quarter of a hin of wine as a drink offering. NAS 6 'Or for a ram you shall prepare as a grain offering two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-third of a hin of oil; NIV 6 " 'With a ram prepare a grain offering of two-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with a third of a hin of oil, NAS 7 and for the drink offering you shall offer one-third of a hin of wine as a soothing aroma to the LORD . NIV 7 and a third of a hin of wine as a drink offering. Offer it as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. NAS 8 'When you prepare a bull as a burnt offering or a sacrifice, to fulfill a special vow, or for peace offerings to the LORD , NIV 8 " 'When you prepare a young bull as a burnt offering or sacrifice, for a special vow or a fellowship offering to the LORD, NAS 9 then you shall offer with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with one-half a hin of oil; NIV 9 bring with the bull a grain offering of three-tenths of an ephah of fine flour mixed with half a hin of oil. NAS 10 and you shall offer as the drink offering one-half a hin of wine as an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD . NIV 10 Also bring half a hin of wine as a drink offering. It will be an offering made by fire, an aroma pleasing to the LORD. NAS 11 'Thus it shall be done for each ox, or for each ram, or for each of the male lambs, or of the goats. NIV 11 Each bull or ram, each lamb or young goat, is to be prepared in this manner. NAS 12 'According to the number that you prepare, so you shall do for everyone according to their number. NIV 12 Do this for each one, for as many as you prepare. NAS 13 'All who are native shall do these things in this manner, in presenting an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD . NIV 13 " 'Everyone who is native-born must do these things in this way when he brings an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD. NAS 14 'If an alien sojourns with you, or one who may be among you throughout your generations, and he wishes to make an offering by fire, as a soothing aroma to the LORD , just as you do so he shall do. NIV 14 For the generations to come, whenever an alien or anyone else living among you presents an offering made by fire as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, he must do exactly as you do. NAS 15 'As for the assembly, there shall be one statute for you and for the alien who sojourns with you, a perpetual statute throughout your generations; as you are, so shall the alien be before the LORD . NIV 15 The community is to have the same rules for you and for the alien living among you; this is a lasting ordinance for the generations to come. You and the alien shall be the same before the LORD: NAS 16 'There is to be one law and one ordinance for you and for the alien who sojourns with you.' " NIV 16 The same laws and regulations will apply both to you and to the alien living among you.' " NAS 17 Then the LORD spoke to Moses, saying, NIV 17 The LORD said to Moses, NAS 18 "Speak to the sons of Israel and say to them, 'When you enter the land where I bring you, NIV 18 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'When you enter the land to which I am taking you NAS 19 then it shall be, that when you eat of the food of the land, you shall lift up an offering to the LORD . NIV 19 and you eat the food of the land, present a portion as an offering to the LORD. NAS 20 'Of the first of your dough you shall lift up a cake as an offering; as the offering of the threshing floor, so you shall lift it up. NIV 20 Present a cake from the first of your ground meal and present it as an offering from the threshing floor. NAS 21 'From the first of your dough you shall give to the LORD an offering throughout your generations. NIV 21 Throughout the generations to come you are to give this offering to the LORD from the first of your ground meal. NAS 22 'But when you unwittingly fail and do not observe all these commandments, which the LORD has spoken to Moses, NIV 22 " 'Now if you unintentionally fail to keep any of these commands the LORD gave Moses-- NAS 23 even all that the LORD has commanded you through Moses, from the day when the LORD gave commandment and onward throughout your generations, NIV 23 any of the LORD's commands to you through him, from the day the LORD gave them and continuing through the generations to come-- NAS 24 then it shall be, if it is done unintentionally, without the knowledge of the congregation, that all the congregation shall offer one bull for a burnt offering, as a soothing aroma to the LORD , with its grain offering and its drink offering, according to the ordinance, and one male goat for a sin offering. NIV 24 and if this is done unintentionally without the community being aware of it, then the whole community is to offer a young bull for a burnt offering as an aroma pleasing to the LORD, along with its prescribed grain offering and drink offering, and a male goat for a sin offering. NAS 25 'Then the priest shall make atonement for all the congregation of the sons of Israel, and they will be forgiven; for it was an error, and they have brought their offering, an offering by fire to the LORD , and their sin offering before the LORD , for their error. NIV 25 The priest is to make atonement for the whole Israelite community, and they will be forgiven, for it was not intentional and they have brought to the LORD for their wrong an offering made by fire and a sin offering. NAS 26 'So all the congregation of the sons of Israel will be forgiven, with the alien who sojourns among them, for it happened to all the people through error. NIV 26 The whole Israelite community and the aliens living among them will be forgiven, because all the people were involved in the unintentional wrong. NAS 27 'Also if one person sins unintentionally, then he shall offer a one year old female goat for a sin offering. NIV 27 " 'But if just one person sins unintentionally, he must bring a year-old female goat for a sin offering. NAS 28 'The priest shall make atonement before the LORD for the person who goes astray when he sins unintentionally, making atonement for him that he may be forgiven. NIV 28 The priest is to make atonement before the LORD for the one who erred by sinning unintentionally, and when atonement has been made for him, he will be forgiven. NAS 29 'You shall have one law for him who does anything unintentionally, for him who is native among the sons of Israel and for the alien who sojourns among them. NIV 29 One and the same law applies to everyone who sins unintentionally, whether he is a native-born Israelite or an alien. NAS 30 'But the person who does anything defiantly , whether he is native or an alien, that one is blaspheming the LORD ; and that person shall be cut off from among his people. NIV 30 " 'But anyone who sins defiantly, whether native-born or alien, blasphemes the LORD, and that person must be cut off from his people. NAS 31 'Because he has despised the word of the LORD and has broken His commandment, that person shall be completely cut off; his guilt will be on him.' " NIV 31 Because he has despised the LORD's word and broken his commands, that person must surely be cut off; his guilt remains on him.' " NAS 32 Now while the sons of Israel were in the wilderness, they found a man gathering wood on the sabbath day. NIV 32 While the Israelites were in the desert, a man was found gathering wood on the Sabbath day. NAS 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and to all the congregation; NIV 33 Those who found him gathering wood brought him to Moses and Aaron and the whole assembly, NAS 34 and they put him in custody because it had not been declared what should be done to him. NIV 34 and they kept him in custody, because it was not clear what should be done to him. NAS 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man shall surely be put to death; all the congregation shall stone him with stones outside the camp." NIV 35 Then the LORD said to Moses, "The man must die. The whole assembly must stone him outside the camp." NAS 36 So all the congregation brought him outside the camp and stoned him to death with stones, just as the LORD had commanded Moses. NIV 36 So the assembly took him outside the camp and stoned him to death, as the LORD commanded Moses. NAS 37 The LORD also spoke to Moses, saying, NIV 37 The LORD said to Moses, NAS 38 "Speak to the sons of Israel, and tell them that they shall make for themselves tassels on the corners of their garments throughout their generations, and that they shall put on the tassel of each corner a cord of blue. NIV 38 "Speak to the Israelites and say to them: 'Throughout the generations to come you are to make tassels on the corners of your garments, with a blue cord on each tassel. NAS 39 "It shall be a tassel for you to look at and remember all the commandments of the LORD , so as to do them and not follow after your own heart and your own eyes, after which you played the harlot, NIV 39 You will have these tassels to look at and so you will remember all the commands of the LORD, that you may obey them and not prostitute yourselves by going after the lusts of your own hearts and eyes. NAS 40 so that you may remember to do all My commandments and be holy to your God. NIV 40 Then you will remember to obey all my commands and will be consecrated to your God. NAS 41 "I am the LORD your God who brought you out from the land of Egypt to be your God; I am the LORD your God." NIV 41 I am the LORD your God, who brought you out of Egypt to be your God. I am the LORD your God.' "
