Philippians 2:5-15

NLT 5 Your attitude should be the same that Christ Jesus had. NIV 5 Your attitude should be the same as that of Christ Jesus: NLT 6 Though he was God, he did not demand and cling to his rights as God. NIV 6 Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be grasped, NLT 7 He made himself nothing; he took the humble position of a slave and appeared in human form. NIV 7 but made himself nothing, taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. NLT 8 And in human form he obediently humbled himself even further by dying a criminal's death on a cross. NIV 8 And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself and became obedient to death-- even death on a cross! NLT 9 Because of this, God raised him up to the heights of heaven and gave him a name that is above every other name, NIV 9 Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, NLT 10 so that at the name of Jesus every knee will bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, NIV 10 that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, NLT 11 and every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. NIV 11 and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. NLT 12 Dearest friends, you were always so careful to follow my instructions when I was with you. And now that I am away you must be even more careful to put into action God's saving work in your lives, obeying God with deep reverence and fear. NIV 12 Therefore, my dear friends, as you have always obeyed--not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence--continue to work out your salvation with fear and trembling, NLT 13 For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him. NIV 13 for it is God who works in you to will and to act according to his good purpose. NLT 14 In everything you do, stay away from complaining and arguing, NIV 14 Do everything without complaining or arguing, NLT 15 so that no one can speak a word of blame against you. You are to live clean, innocent lives as children of God in a dark world full of crooked and perverse people. Let your lives shine brightly before them. NIV 15 so that you may become blameless and pure, children of God without fault in a crooked and depraved generation, in which you shine like stars in the universe
