Philippians 3:12-21

NRS 12 Not that I have already obtained this or have already reached the goal; but I press on to make it my own, because Christ Jesus has made me his own. NIV 12 Not that I have already obtained all this, or have already been made perfect, but I press on to take hold of that for which Christ Jesus took hold of me. NRS 13 Beloved, I do not consider that I have made it my own; but this one thing I do: forgetting what lies behind and straining forward to what lies ahead, NIV 13 Brothers, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do: Forgetting what is behind and straining toward what is ahead, NRS 14 I press on toward the goal for the prize of the heavenly call of God in Christ Jesus. NIV 14 I press on toward the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. NRS 15 Let those of us then who are mature be of the same mind; and if you think differently about anything, this too God will reveal to you. NIV 15 All of us who are mature should take such a view of things. And if on some point you think differently, that too God will make clear to you. NRS 16 Only let us hold fast to what we have attained. NIV 16 Only let us live up to what we have already attained. NRS 17 Brothers and sisters, join in imitating me, and observe those who live according to the example you have in us. NIV 17 Join with others in following my example, brothers, and take note of those who live according to the pattern we gave you. NRS 18 For many live as enemies of the cross of Christ; I have often told you of them, and now I tell you even with tears. NIV 18 For, as I have often told you before and now say again even with tears, many live as enemies of the cross of Christ. NRS 19 Their end is destruction; their god is the belly; and their glory is in their shame; their minds are set on earthly things. NIV 19 Their destiny is destruction, their god is their stomach, and their glory is in their shame. Their mind is on earthly things. NRS 20 But our citizenship is in heaven, and it is from there that we are expecting a Savior, the Lord Jesus Christ. NIV 20 But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, NRS 21 He will transform the body of our humiliation that it may be conformed to the body of his glory, by the power that also enables him to make all things subject to himself. NIV 21 who, by the power that enables him to bring everything under his control, will transform our lowly bodies so that they will be like his glorious body.
