Psalm 1

CSB 1 How happy is the man who does not follow the advice of the wicked, or take the path of sinners, or join a group of mockers! NIV 1 Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. CSB 2 Instead, his delight is in the Lord's instruction, and he meditates on it day and night. NIV 2 But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night. CSB 3 He is like a tree planted beside streams of water that bears its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. NIV 3 He is like a tree planted by streams of water, which yields its fruit in season and whose leaf does not wither. Whatever he does prospers. CSB 4 The wicked are not like this; instead, they are like chaff that the wind blows away. NIV 4 Not so the wicked! They are like chaff that the wind blows away. CSB 5 Therefore the wicked will not survive the judgment, and sinners will not be in the community of the righteous. NIV 5 Therefore the wicked will not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the assembly of the righteous. CSB 6 For the Lord watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked leads to ruin. NIV 6 For the LORD watches over the way of the righteous, but the way of the wicked will perish.
