Psalm 125

LEB 1 Those who trust in Yahweh [are] like Mount Zion, which cannot be moved, [but] abides forever. NIV 1 Those who trust in the LORD are like Mount Zion, which cannot be shaken but endures forever. LEB 2 [As] mountains [are] round about Jerusalem, so Yahweh [is] round about his people, from now until forever. NIV 2 As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the LORD surrounds his people both now and forevermore. LEB 3 For the scepter of wickedness shall not rest on the {land} of the righteous, lest the righteous stretch out their hands to do wickedness. NIV 3 The scepter of the wicked will not remain over the land allotted to the righteous, for then the righteous might use their hands to do evil. LEB 4 Do good, O Yahweh, to the good, and to [those] upright in their hearts. NIV 4 Do good, O LORD, to those who are good, to those who are upright in heart. LEB 5 But regarding those who turn aside to their crooked ways, Yahweh will lead them away with the evildoers. Peace [be] upon Israel. NIV 5 But those who turn to crooked ways the LORD will banish with the evildoers. Peace be upon Israel.
