NKJV 1 Praise the Lord! Sing to the Lord a new song, And His praise in the assembly of saints. NIV 1 Praise the LORD. Sing to the LORD a new song, his praise in the assembly of the saints. NKJV 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King. NIV 2 Let Israel rejoice in their Maker; let the people of Zion be glad in their King. NKJV 3 Let them praise His name with the dance; Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp. NIV 3 Let them praise his name with dancing and make music to him with tambourine and harp. NKJV 4 For the Lord takes pleasure in His people; He will beautify the humble with salvation. NIV 4 For the LORD takes delight in his people; he crowns the humble with salvation. NKJV 5 Let the saints be joyful in glory; Let them sing aloud on their beds. NIV 5 Let the saints rejoice in this honor and sing for joy on their beds. NKJV 6 Let the high praises of God be in their mouth, And a two-edged sword in their hand, NIV 6 May the praise of God be in their mouths and a double-edged sword in their hands, NKJV 7 To execute vengeance on the nations, And punishments on the peoples; NIV 7 to inflict vengeance on the nations and punishment on the peoples, NKJV 8 To bind their kings with chains, And their nobles with fetters of iron; NIV 8 to bind their kings with fetters, their nobles with shackles of iron, NKJV 9 To execute on them the written judgment-- This honor have all His saints. Praise the Lord! NIV 9 to carry out the sentence written against them. This is the glory of all his saints. Praise the LORD.
