Psalm 2:1-6

ASV 1 Why do the nations rage, And the peoples meditate a vain thing? NIV 1 Why do the nations conspire and the peoples plot in vain? ASV 2 The kings of the earth set themselves, And the rulers take counsel together, Against Jehovah, and against his anointed, [saying], NIV 2 The kings of the earth take their stand and the rulers gather together against the LORD and against his Anointed One. ASV 3 Let us break their bonds asunder, And cast away their cords from us. NIV 3 "Let us break their chains," they say, "and throw off their fetters." ASV 4 He that sitteth in the heavens will laugh: The Lord will have them in derision. NIV 4 The One enthroned in heaven laughs; the Lord scoffs at them. ASV 5 Then will he speak unto them in his wrath, And vex them in his sore displeasure: NIV 5 Then he rebukes them in his anger and terrifies them in his wrath, saying, ASV 6 Yet I have set my king Upon my holy hill of Zion. NIV 6 "I have installed my King on Zion, my holy hill."
