Psalm 92

DBY 1 {A Psalm, a Song, for the Sabbath day.} It is good to give thanks unto Jehovah, and to sing psalms unto thy name, O Most High; NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, DBY 2 To declare thy loving-kindness in the morning, and thy faithfulness in the nights, NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, DBY 3 Upon an instrument of ten strings and upon the lute; upon the Higgaion with the harp. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. DBY 4 For thou, Jehovah, hast made me glad through thy work; I will triumph in the works of thy hands. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. DBY 5 Jehovah, how great are thy works! Thy thoughts are very deep: NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! DBY 6 A brutish man knoweth not, neither doth a fool understand it. NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, DBY 7 When the wicked spring as the grass, and when all the workers of iniquity flourish, it is that they may be destroyed for ever. NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. DBY 8 And thou, Jehovah, art on high for evermore. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. DBY 9 For lo, thine enemies, O Jehovah, for lo, thine enemies shall perish; all the workers of iniquity shall be scattered. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. DBY 10 But my horn shalt thou exalt like a buffalo's: I shall be anointed with fresh oil. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. DBY 11 And mine eye shall see [its desire] on mine enemies; mine ears shall hear [it] of the evil-doers that rise up against me. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. DBY 12 The righteous shall shoot forth like a palm-tree; he shall grow like a cedar on Lebanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; DBY 13 Those that are planted in the house of Jehovah shall flourish in the courts of our God: NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. DBY 14 They are still vigorous in old age, they are full of sap and green; NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, DBY 15 To shew that Jehovah is upright: [he is] my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
