Psalm 92

ESV 1 It is good to give thanks to the LORD, to sing praises to your name, O Most High; NIV 1 It is good to praise the LORD and make music to your name, O Most High, ESV 2 to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night, NIV 2 to proclaim your love in the morning and your faithfulness at night, ESV 3 to the music of the lute and the harp, to the melody of the lyre. NIV 3 to the music of the ten-stringed lyre and the melody of the harp. ESV 4 For you, O LORD, have made me glad by your work; at the works of your hands I sing for joy. NIV 4 For you make me glad by your deeds, O LORD; I sing for joy at the works of your hands. ESV 5 How great are your works, O LORD! Your thoughts are very deep! NIV 5 How great are your works, O LORD, how profound your thoughts! ESV 6 The stupid man cannot know; the fool cannot understand this: NIV 6 The senseless man does not know, fools do not understand, ESV 7 that though the wicked sprout like grass and all evildoers flourish, they are doomed to destruction forever; NIV 7 that though the wicked spring up like grass and all evildoers flourish, they will be forever destroyed. ESV 8 but you, O LORD, are on high forever. NIV 8 But you, O LORD, are exalted forever. ESV 9 For behold, your enemies, O LORD, for behold, your enemies shall perish; all evildoers shall be scattered. NIV 9 For surely your enemies, O LORD, surely your enemies will perish; all evildoers will be scattered. ESV 10 But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox; you have poured over me fresh oil. NIV 10 You have exalted my horn like that of a wild ox; fine oils have been poured upon me. ESV 11 My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies; my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants. NIV 11 My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries; my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes. ESV 12 The righteous flourish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon. NIV 12 The righteous will flourish like a palm tree, they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon; ESV 13 They are planted in the house of the LORD; they flourish in the courts of our God. NIV 13 planted in the house of the LORD, they will flourish in the courts of our God. ESV 14 They still bear fruit in old age; they are ever full of sap and green, NIV 14 They will still bear fruit in old age, they will stay fresh and green, ESV 15 to declare that the LORD is upright; he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him. NIV 15 proclaiming, "The LORD is upright; he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him."
