Revelation 3:14-22

NLT 14 "Write this letter to the angel of the church in Laodicea. This is the message from the one who is the Amen -- the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation:" NIV 14 "To the angel of the church in Laodicea write: These are the words of the Amen, the faithful and true witness, the ruler of God's creation. NLT 15 "I know all the things you do, that you are neither hot nor cold. I wish you were one or the other! NIV 15 I know your deeds, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were either one or the other! NLT 16 But since you are like lukewarm water, I will spit you out of my mouth! NIV 16 So, because you are lukewarm--neither hot nor cold--I am about to spit you out of my mouth. NLT 17 You say, 'I am rich. I have everything I want. I don't need a thing!' And you don't realize that you are wretched and miserable and poor and blind and naked. NIV 17 You say, 'I am rich; I have acquired wealth and do not need a thing.' But you do not realize that you are wretched, pitiful, poor, blind and naked. NLT 18 I advise you to buy gold from me -- gold that has been purified by fire. Then you will be rich. And also buy white garments so you will not be shamed by your nakedness. And buy ointment for your eyes so you will be able to see. NIV 18 I counsel you to buy from me gold refined in the fire, so you can become rich; and white clothes to wear, so you can cover your shameful nakedness; and salve to put on your eyes, so you can see. NLT 19 I am the one who corrects and disciplines everyone I love. Be diligent and turn from your indifference." NIV 19 Those whom I love I rebuke and discipline. So be earnest, and repent. NLT 20 "Look! Here I stand at the door and knock. If you hear me calling and open the door, I will come in, and we will share a meal as friends. NIV 20 Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with him, and he with me. NLT 21 I will invite everyone who is victorious to sit with me on my throne, just as I was victorious and sat with my Father on his throne. NIV 21 To him who overcomes, I will give the right to sit with me on my throne, just as I overcame and sat down with my Father on his throne. NLT 22 Anyone who is willing to hear should listen to the Spirit and understand what the Spirit is saying to the churches." NIV 22 He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches."
