Romans 16

YLT 1 And I commend you to Phebe our sister -- being a ministrant of the assembly that [is] in Cenchrea -- NIV 1 I commend to you our sister Phoebe, a servant of the church in Cenchrea. YLT 2 that ye may receive her in the Lord, as doth become saints, and may assist her in whatever matter she may have need of you -- for she also became a leader of many, and of myself. NIV 2 I ask you to receive her in the Lord in a way worthy of the saints and to give her any help she may need from you, for she has been a great help to many people, including me. YLT 3 Salute Priscilla and Aquilas, my fellow-workmen in Christ Jesus -- NIV 3 Greet Priscilla and Aquila, my fellow workers in Christ Jesus. YLT 4 who for my life their own neck did lay down, to whom not only I give thanks, but also all the assemblies of the nations -- NIV 4 They risked their lives for me. Not only I but all the churches of the Gentiles are grateful to them. YLT 5 and the assembly at their house; salute Epaenetus, my beloved, who is first-fruit of Achaia to Christ. NIV 5 Greet also the church that meets at their house. Greet my dear friend Epenetus, who was the first convert to Christ in the province of Asia. YLT 6 Salute Mary, who did labour much for us; NIV 6 Greet Mary, who worked very hard for you. YLT 7 salute Andronicus and Junias, my kindred, and my fellow-captives, who are of note among the apostles, who also have been in Christ before me. NIV 7 Greet Andronicus and Junias, my relatives who have been in prison with me. They are outstanding among the apostles, and they were in Christ before I was. YLT 8 Salute Amplias, my beloved in the Lord; NIV 8 Greet Ampliatus, whom I love in the Lord. YLT 9 salute Arbanus, our fellow-workman in Christ, and Stachys, my beloved; NIV 9 Greet Urbanus, our fellow worker in Christ, and my dear friend Stachys. YLT 10 salute Apelles, the approved in Christ; salute those of the [household] of Aristobulus; NIV 10 Greet Apelles, tested and approved in Christ. YLT 11 salute Herodion, my kinsman; salute those of the [household] of Narcissus, who are in the Lord; NIV 11 Greet Herodion, my relative. Greet those in the household of Narcissus who are in the Lord. YLT 12 salute Tryphaena, and Tryphosa, who are labouring in the Lord; salute Persis, the beloved, who did labour much in the Lord. NIV 12 Greet Tryphena and Tryphosa, those women who work hard in the Lord. Greet my dear friend Persis, another woman who has worked very hard in the Lord. YLT 13 Salute Rufus, the choice one in the Lord, and his mother and mine, NIV 13 Greet Rufus, chosen in the Lord, and his mother, who has been a mother to me, too. YLT 14 salute Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermas, Patrobas, Hermes, and the brethren with them; NIV 14 Greet Asyncritus, Phlegon, Hermes, Patrobas, Hermas and the brothers with them. YLT 15 salute Philologus, and Julias, Nereus, and his sister, and Olympas, and all the saints with them; NIV 15 Greet Philologus, Julia, Nereus and his sister, and Olympas and all the saints with them. YLT 16 salute one another in a holy kiss; the assemblies of Christ do salute you. NIV 16 Greet one another with a holy kiss. All the churches of Christ send greetings. YLT 17 And I call upon you, brethren, to mark those who the divisions and the stumbling-blocks, contrary to the teaching that ye did learn, are causing, and turn ye away from them; NIV 17 I urge you, brothers, to watch out for those who cause divisions and put obstacles in your way that are contrary to the teaching you have learned. Keep away from them. YLT 18 for such our Lord Jesus Christ do not serve, but their own belly; and through the good word and fair speech they deceive the hearts of the harmless, NIV 18 For such people are not serving our Lord Christ, but their own appetites. By smooth talk and flattery they deceive the minds of naive people. YLT 19 for your obedience did reach to all; I rejoice, therefore, as regards you, and I wish you to be wise, indeed, as to the good, and harmless as to the evil; NIV 19 Everyone has heard about your obedience, so I am full of joy over you; but I want you to be wise about what is good, and innocent about what is evil. YLT 20 and the God of the peace shall bruise the Adversary under your feet quickly; the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you. Amen! NIV 20 The God of peace will soon crush Satan under your feet. The grace of our Lord Jesus be with you. YLT 21 Salute you do Timotheus, my fellow-workman, and Lucius, and Jason, and Sosipater, my kindred; NIV 21 Timothy, my fellow worker, sends his greetings to you, as do Lucius, Jason and Sosipater, my relatives. YLT 22 I Tertius salute you (who wrote the letter) in the Lord; NIV 22 I, Tertius, who wrote down this letter, greet you in the Lord. YLT 23 salute you doth Gaius, my host, and of the whole assembly; salute you doth Erastus, the steward of the city, and Quartus the brother, NIV 23 Gaius, whose hospitality I and the whole church here enjoy, sends you his greetings. Erastus, who is the city's director of public works, and our brother Quartus send you their greetings. YLT 24 the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ [be] with you all. Amen. YLT 25 And to Him who is able to establish you, according to my good news, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the secret, in the times of the ages having been kept silent, NIV 25 Now to him who is able to establish you by my gospel and the proclamation of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery hidden for long ages past, YLT 26 and now having been made manifest, also, through prophetic writings, according to a command of the age-during God, having been made known to all the nations for obedience of faith -- NIV 26 but now revealed and made known through the prophetic writings by the command of the eternal God, so that all nations might believe and obey him-- YLT 27 to the only wise God, through Jesus Christ, to him [be] glory to the ages. Amen. NIV 27 to the only wise God be glory forever through Jesus Christ! Amen.
