And coming to us, he 1tookPaul'sbelt and bound his ownfeet and hands, and said, "This2is what the HolySpiritsays: 'In thisway the Jews at Jerusalem will 3bind the manwhoownsthisbelt and 4deliver him into the hands of the Gentiles.' "

When we had heardthis, we as well as the localresidents began begging him 5not to go up to Jerusalem.

ThenPaulanswered, "What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For 6I amready not only to be bound, but even to die at Jerusalem for 7the name of the LordJesus."

And since he would not be persuaded, we fellsilent, remarking, "8The will of the Lord be done!"

15Afterthesedays we gotready and 9started on our way up to Jerusalem.

Some of 10the disciples from 11Caesareaalsocame with us, taking us to Mnason of 12Cyprus, a 13disciple of longstanding with whom we were to lodge.

After we arrived in Jerusalem, 14the brethrenreceived us gladly.

And the following day Paulwent in with us to 15James, and all16the elders were present.

After he had greeted them, he 17began to relateone by one the things whichGod had doneamong the Gentilesthrough his 18ministry.

And when they heard it they began 19glorifyingGod; and they said to him, "You see, brother, howmanythousands there are among the Jews of those who have believed, and they are all20zealous for the Law;

and they have been toldabout you, that you are 21teachingall the Jews who are among the Gentiles to forsakeMoses, telling them 22not to circumcise their childrennor to walk according to 23the customs.
