7
Foruncleanspirits, crying with loudvoice, came out of many that were possessed with them: andmany taken with palsies, and that were lame, were healed.

10
To whom they all gave heed, from the leastto the greatest, saying, This manis the greatpower of God.
11
And to him they had regard, because that of longtime he had bewitchedthem with sorceries.
12
Butwhen they believedPhilippreaching the things concerning the kingdom of God,and the name of JesusChrist, they were baptized, bothmenandwomen.
13
ThenSimonhimselfbelievedalso:and when he was baptized, he continued* with Philip, andwondered, beholding the miracles[a]andsignswhich were done.
14
Now when the apostleswhich were atJerusalemheardthatSamaria had received the word of God, they sentuntothemPeterandJohn:

(For as yet he wasfallenuponnone of them:onlytheywerebaptizedin the name of the Lord Jesus.)
17
Then laid they their handsonthem, and they received the HolyGhost.
18
And when Simonsawthatthrough laying on of the apostles'hands the HolyGhost was given, he offeredthemmoney,

23
For I perceive that thouartin the gall of bitterness, and in the bond of iniquity.
24
ThenansweredSimon, and said, Prayyeto the Lordforme, that none of these thingswhich ye have spokencomeuponme.
25
And they, whenthey had testifiedandpreached the word of the Lord, returnedtoJerusalem, and preached the gospel in manyvillages of the Samaritans.
26
And the angel of the LordspakeuntoPhilip, saying, Arise, andgotoward the southunto the way that goeth downfromJerusalemuntoGaza, whichisdesert.
27
And he arose and went: and, behold, a man of Ethiopia, an eunuch of great authority under Candacequeen of the Ethiopians, whohad the charge ofallhertreasure, and had cometoJerusalem for to worship,
28
Wasreturning, andsittinginhischariot*readEsaias the prophet.
29
Then the Spiritsaid unto Philip, Go near, and join thyself tothischariot.
30
AndPhilipran thither to him, and heardhimread the prophetEsaias, andsaid, Understandest thou**what thou readest?
31
And he said, HowcanI*, except some man should guideme? And he desiredPhilip that he would come up and sitwithhim.
32
Theplace of the scripturewhich he readwasthis, He was ledas a sheepto the slaughter;andlike a lambdumbbeforehisshearer, so opened henothismouth:

34
And the eunuchansweredPhilip, and said, I praythee, ofwhomspeaketh the prophetthis?ofhimself, orofsome other man?
35
ThenPhilipopenedhismouth, andbeganat the samescripture, and preached unto himJesus.
36
Andas they wenton their way, they cameunto a certainwater:and the eunuchsaid, See, here is water;what doth hinderme to be baptized?
37
AndPhilipsaid, If thou believestwith all thineheart, thou mayest. And he answered and said, I believe that JesusChristis the Son of God.
38
And he commanded the chariot to stand still: and they went downbothinto the water, bothPhilipand the eunuch;and he baptizedhim.
39
Andwhen they were come up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord caught awayPhilip*, that the eunuchsaw*him no more:and he went on hiswayrejoicing.
