So they 1were seeking to seize Him; and nomanlaid his hand on Him, because His 2hour had not yetcome.

But 3many of the crowdbelieved in Him; and they were saying, "4When the Christcomes, He will not performmore5signs than those whichthisman has, will He?"

The Phariseesheard the crowdmutteringthesethingsabout Him, and the chiefpriests and the Phariseessent6officers to 7seize Him.

ThereforeJesussaid, "8For a littlewhilelonger I am with you, then9I go to Him who sent Me.

"10You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot*come."

11The Jewsthensaid to oneanother, "12Where does thismanintend to go that we will not find Him? He is not intending to go to 13the Dispersion among 14the Greeks, and teach the Greeks, is He?

"What is thisstatement that He said, '15You will seek Me, and will not find Me; and where I am, you cannot*come '?"

Now on 16the lastday, the great day of the feast, Jesusstood and cried out, saying, "17Ifanyone is thirsty, let him come to Me and drink.

"He who believes in Me, 18as the Scripturesaid, 'From his innermostbeing will flowrivers of 19livingwater.' "

But this He spoke20of the Spirit, whomthose who believed in Him were to receive; for 21the Spirit was not yet given, becauseJesus was not yet22glorified.
