Matthew 22:35-45

1And one of them, 2a lawyer, asked him a question 3to test him.
"Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law?"
And he said to him, 4"You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.
This is the great and first commandment.
And 5a second is like it: 6You shall love your neighbor as yourself.
7On these two commandments depend 8all the Law and the Prophets."

Whose Son Is the Christ?

9Now while the Pharisees 10were gathered together, Jesus asked them a question,
saying, "What do you think about 11the Christ? Whose son is he?" They said to him, 12"The son of David."
He said to them, "How is it then that David, 13in the Spirit, calls him Lord, saying,
14"'The Lord said to my Lord, Sit at my right hand, until I put your enemies under your feet'?
If then David calls him Lord, 15how is he his son?"
