And sent forthhisservants to call them that were biddento the wedding:and they wouldnotcome.

Again, he sent forthotherservants,saying, Tell them which are bidden, Behold, I have preparedmydinner:myoxenand my fatlings are killed, and all things are ready:comeunto the marriage.

But they made light of it, and went their ways, onetohisfarm,anothertohismerchandise:

And the remnanttookhisservants, and entreated them spitefully, andslew them.

But when the kingheard thereof, he was wroth: and he sent forthhisarmies, and destroyedthosemurderers,and burned uptheircity.

Then saith he to hisservants*, The weddingisready,but they which were biddenwerenotworthy.

Go yethereforeinto the highways*, and as many asye shall find, bidto the marriage.

Sothoseservants went outinto the highways, and gathered togetherall as many as they found, bothbadandgood:and the wedding was furnished with guests.

Andwhen the king came in to see the guests, he sawthere a man which hadnoton a weddinggarment:

And he saith unto him,Friend,how camest thou in hithernothaving a weddinggarment?And he was speechless.

Thensaid the king to the servants,Bindhimhandandfoot, and takehimaway, andcast him intoouterdarkness;there shall beweepingandgnashing of teeth.
