Isaac and Abimelech

26:1-11Ref -- Ge 12:10-20; 20:1-18

1 Now there was a famine in the land1--besides the earlier famine of Abraham's time--and Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines2 in Gerar.3

2 The LORD appeared4 to Isaac and said, "Do not go down to Egypt;5 live in the land where I tell you to live.6

3 Stay in this land for a while,7 and I will be with you8 and will bless you.9 For to you and your descendants I will give all these lands10 and will confirm the oath I swore to your father Abraham.11
