After these things the Lordappointedotherseventyalso,andsentthemtwo and twobeforehisfaceintoeverycityandplace,whither* he himselfwouldcome.

Therefore said heuntothem,The harvesttruly is great,but the labourers are few: pray yetherefore the Lord of the harvest,that he would send forthlabourersintohisharvest.

Go your ways: behold, Isendyouforthaslambsamong*wolves.

Carryneitherpurse,norscrip,norshoes:andsalute no manby the way.

Andintowhatsoever*house ye enter, firstsay, Peace be to thishouse.

Andiftheson of peacebethere,yourpeace shall restuponit: if not, it shall turntoyouagain.

Andin the samehouseremain, eatinganddrinking such things astheygive:for the labourerisworthy of hishire.Gonotfromhousetohouse.

Andintowhatsoever**city ye enter, and they receiveyou, eat such things as are set beforeyou:

Andheal the sick that are therein*, andsay unto them, The kingdom of God is come nighuntoyou.

Butintowhatsoever*city ye enter, and they receiveyounot, go your ways outinto the streets of the same, and say,

Even the very dustofyourcity,whichcleaveth on us, we do wipe off against you:notwithstanding be ye sure of this,that the kingdom of God is come nighuntoyou.

But I say unto you,that it shall be more tolerableinthatday for Sodom,than for thatcity.

Woe unto thee,Chorazin!woe unto thee,Bethsaida!forif the mighty works had been doneinTyreandSidon,which have been doneinyou, they had a great while agorepented, sittingin*sackclothandashes.

But it shall be more tolerable for TyreandSidonat the judgment,than for you.

Andthou,Capernaum,which art exaltedtoheaven, shalt be thrust downtohell.

He that hearethyouhearethme;and he that despisethyoudespisethme;and he that despisethmedespiseth him that sentme.

And the seventy returned againwithjoy,saying, Lord,even the devils are subject unto usthroughthyname.

And he said unto them,I beheldSatanaslightningfallfromheaven.

Behold, I give unto youpower to treadonserpentsandscorpions,andoverall the power of the enemy:andnothingshall by any meanshurtyou.

Notwithstandinginthisrejoicenot,that the spirits are subject unto you;butratherrejoice, becauseyournames are writteninheaven.

InthathourJesus rejoiced inspirit,andsaid, I thankthee, O Father,Lord of heavenandearth,that thou hast hid these thingsfrom the wiseandprudent,and hast revealedthem unto babes: even so,Father;forso it seemedgoodinthysight.

All things are delivered to meofmyFather:and no manknowethwho the Sonis, but the Father;andwho the Fatheris, but the Son,and he to whomtheSonwillreveal him.[a]

And he turned himunto his disciples, and saidprivately*, Blessed are the eyeswhichsee the things that ye see:

For I tellyou,thatmanyprophetsandkings have desired to see those things whichyesee, andhavenotseen them; and to hear those things which ye hear, andhavenotheard them.

And,behold, a certainlawyer stood up, andtemptedhim,saying, Master,what shall I do to inheriteternallife?

Hesaiduntohim,What is writtenin the law?how readest thou?

And he answeringsaid, Thou shalt love the LordthyGodwithallthyheart,andwithallthysoul,andwithallthystrength,andwithallthymind;andthyneighbourasthyself.

And he said unto him,Thou hast answeredright:thisdo, and thou shalt live.
