And he cast down the pieces of silverin the temple, and departed , andwent and hanged himself .

And the chief prieststook the silver pieces, and said , It isnotlawful for to puttheminto the treasury,because it is the price of blood.

And they tookcounsel, and boughtwiththem the potter'sfield,toburystrangersin.

Whereforethatfield was called , The field of blood,unto this day.

Then was fulfilled that which was spokenbyJeremy the prophet,saying , And they took the thirty pieces of silver, the price of him that was valued , whom they of the children of Israel did value ;

Andgavethemfor the potter'sfield,as the Lordappointedme.

AndJesusstoodbefore the governor:and the governoraskedhim,saying , Artthou the King of the Jews?AndJesussaid unto him,Thousayest .

Andwhenhe was accusedof the chief priestsandelders, he answerednothing.

ThensaidPilate unto him, Hearest thounot how many things they witness againstthee?

And he answered*himtoneveraword;insomuch that the governormarvelledgreatly.
