Salmos 25:3-13

3 Guímel Ciertamente ninguno de cuantos en ti esperan será avergonzado; serán avergonzados los que se rebelan sin causa.

4 Dálet Tus caminos, oh SEÑOR, me haces saber; tus sendas me enseñas.

5 He Encamíname en tu verdad, y enséñame; porque tú eres el Dios de mi salud; a ti he esperado todo el día.

6 Vau Acuérdate, oh SEÑOR, de tus conmiseraciones y de tus misericordias, que son perpetuas.

7 Zain De los pecados de mi juventud, y de mis rebeliones, no te acuerdes; conforme a tu misericordia acuérdate de mí, por tu bondad, oh SEÑOR.

8 Chet Bueno y recto es el SEÑOR; por tanto él enseñará a los pecadores el camino.

9 Tet Encaminará a los humildes por el juicio, y enseñará a los mansos su carrera.

10 Yod Todas las sendas del SEÑOR son misericordia y verdad, para los que guardan su pacto y sus testimonios.

11 Caf Por tu Nombre, oh SEÑOR, perdona también mi pecado; porque es grande.

12 Lámed ¿Quién es el varón que teme al SEÑOR? El le enseñará el camino que ha de escoger.

13 Mem Su alma reposará en el bien, y su simiente heredará la tierra.

INTRODUCTION TO PSALM 25

\\<<[A Psalm] of David>>\\. This is the first of the psalms which is written in an alphabetical order, or in which the first word of every verse begins with the letters of the Hebrew alphabet in order, though it is not strictly and regularly observed; the reason of this manner of writing is not very obvious; the {r} Jews confess their ignorance of it; it may be to engage the attention to what is said, or to assist the memory in laying it up, and retaining it there. The occasion of the psalm seems to be the troubles David was in on account of an unnatural rebellion raised against him by some of his subjects, at the head of which was his own son Absalom; he speaks of himself as in a net, and in great affliction, distress, and trouble, by reason of his enemies, Ps 25:15-18; and as being brought to a sense of his former sins, for which he desires pardon, Ps 25:7,11. {r} Kimchi in loc.
