Making Marriage Last

Someone said, "Marriage is like the army. Everybody complains, but you'd be surprised how many re-enlist.” Hollywood stars seem especially prone to it. Zsa Zsa Gabor has been married nine times, Mickey Rooney eight, Liz Taylor eight, Jerry Lee Lewis six and Billy Bob Thornton five.  The record of long lasting marriage is held by Percy and Florence Arrowsmith, a British couple who have been married for 80 years! Many churches hold marriage renewal services in the hope of making marriages last. David and Lauren Blair, of Tennessee, are proof that it works. They have renewed their vows 83 times.
