1 Praise the LORD,¹ O my soul;² all my inmost being, praise his holy name.³ 2 Praise the LORD,⁴ O my soul, and forget not⁵ all his benefits-- 3 who forgives all your sins⁶ and heals⁷ all your diseases, 4 who redeems your life⁸ from the pit and crowns you with love and compassion,⁹ 5 who satisfies¹⁰ your desires with good things so that your youth is renewed¹¹ like the eagle's.¹² 6 The LORD works righteousness¹³ and justice for all the oppressed.¹⁴ 7 He made known¹⁵ his ways¹⁶ to Moses, his deeds¹⁷ to the people of Israel: 8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious,¹⁸ slow to anger, abounding in love. 9 He will not always accuse, nor will he harbor his anger forever;¹⁹ 10 he does not treat us as our sins deserve²⁰ or repay us according to our iniquities. 11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is his love²¹ for those who fear him;²²
