They forgot the God10 who saved them, who had done great things11 in Egypt,
miracles in the land of Ham12 and awesome deeds13 by the Red Sea.
So he said he would destroy14 them-- had not Moses, his chosen one, stood in the breach15 before him to keep his wrath from destroying them.
Then they despised16 the pleasant land;17 they did not believe18 his promise.
They grumbled19 in their tents and did not obey the LORD.
