My eyes fail,1 looking for your promise;2 I say, "When will you comfort me?"

Though I am like a wineskin in the smoke, I do not forget3 your decrees.

How long4 must your servant wait? When will you punish my persecutors?5

The arrogant6 dig pitfalls7 for me, contrary to your law.

All your commands are trustworthy;8 help me,9 for men persecute me10 without cause.11

They almost wiped me from the earth, but I have not forsaken12 your precepts.

Preserve my life13 according to your love,14 and I will obey the statutes15 of your mouth.
