His pleasure is not in the strength1 of the horse,2 nor his delight in the legs of a man;
the LORD delights3 in those who fear him,4 who put their hope5 in his unfailing love.612
Extol the LORD, O Jerusalem;7 praise your God, O Zion,
for he strengthens the bars of your gates8 and blesses your people9 within you.
He grants peace10 to your borders and satisfies you11 with the finest of wheat.1215
He sends his command13 to the earth; his word runs14 swiftly.
He spreads the snow15 like wool and scatters the frost16 like ashes.
He hurls down his hail17 like pebbles. Who can withstand his icy blast?
He sends his word18 and melts them; he stirs up his breezes,19 and the waters flow.
He has revealed his word20 to Jacob,21 his laws and decrees22 to Israel.
He has done this for no other nation;23 they do not know24 his laws. Praise the LORD.25
