Yet you are enthroned as the Holy One;1 you are the praise2 of Israel.a4
In you our fathers put their trust; they trusted and you delivered them.35
They cried to you4 and were saved; in you they trusted5 and were not disappointed.66
But I am a worm7 and not a man, scorned by men8 and despised9 by the people.
All who see me mock me;10 they hurl insults,11 shaking their heads:128
"He trusts in the LORD; let the LORD rescue him.13 Let him deliver him,14 since he delights15 in him."
Yet you brought me out of the womb;16 you made me trust17 in you even at my mother's breast.
From birth18 I was cast upon you; from my mother's womb you have been my God.
Do not be far from me,19 for trouble is near20 and there is no one to help.2112
Many bulls22 surround me;23 strong bulls of Bashan24 encircle me.
Roaring lions25 tearing their prey26 open their mouths wide27 against me.
