Of David. A psalm.

1 The earth is the LORD's,¹ and everything in it, the world, and all who live in it;² 2 for he founded it upon the seas and established it upon the waters.³ 3 Who may ascend the hill⁴ of the LORD? Who may stand in his holy place?⁵ 4 He who has clean hands⁶ and a pure heart,⁷ who does not lift up his soul to an idol⁸ or swear by what is false.^a 5 He will receive blessing⁹ from the LORD and vindication¹⁰ from God his Savior. 6 Such is the generation of those who seek him, who seek your face,¹¹ O God of Jacob.^b "Selah" 7 Lift up your heads, O you gates;¹² be lifted up, you ancient doors, that the King¹³ of glory¹⁴ may come in.¹⁵ 8 Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty,¹⁶ the LORD mighty in battle.¹⁷
