Restore to me the joy of your salvation1 and grant me a willing spirit,2 to sustain me.313
Then I will teach transgressors your ways,4 and sinners5 will turn back to you.614
Save me7 from bloodguilt,8 O God, the God who saves me,9 and my tongue will sing of your righteousness.1015
O Lord, open my lips,11 and my mouth will declare your praise.
You do not delight in sacrifice,12 or I would bring it; you do not take pleasure in burnt offerings.
The sacrifices13 of God area a broken spirit; a broken and contrite heart,14 O God, you will not despise.
In your good pleasure make Zion15 prosper; build up the walls of Jerusalem.1619
Then there will be righteous sacrifices,17 whole burnt offerings18 to delight you; then bulls19 will be offered on your altar.
