They say, "God has forsaken1 him; pursue him and seize him, for no one will rescue2 him."
Be not far3 from me, O God; come quickly, O my God, to help4 me.
May my accusers5 perish in shame;6 may those who want to harm me be covered with scorn and disgrace.714
But as for me, I will always have hope;8 I will praise you more and more.
My mouth will tell9 of your righteousness,10 of your salvation all day long, though I know not its measure.
I will come and proclaim your mighty acts,11 O Sovereign LORD; I will proclaim your righteousness, yours alone.
Since my youth, O God, you have taught12 me, and to this day I declare your marvelous deeds.1318
Even when I am old and gray,14 do not forsake me, O God, till I declare your power15 to the next generation, your might to all who are to come.1619
Your righteousness reaches to the skies,17 O God, you who have done great things.18 Who, O God, is like you?1920
Though you have made me see troubles,20 many and bitter, you will restore21 my life again; from the depths of the earth22 you will again bring me up.
You will increase my honor23 and comfort24 me once again.
