At that very hour there was a severe earthquake1 and a tenth of the city collapsed. Seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the survivors were terrified and gave glory2 to the God of heaven.314
The second woe has passed; the third woe is coming soon.4
The seventh angel sounded his trumpet,5 and there were loud voices6 in heaven, which said: "The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of his Christ,7 and he will reign for ever and ever."816
And the twenty-four elders,9 who were seated on their thrones before God, fell on their faces10 and worshiped God,
saying: "We give thanks11 to you, Lord God Almighty,12 the One who is and who was,13 because you have taken your great power and have begun to reign.1418
The nations were angry;15 and your wrath has come. The time has come for judging the dead,16 and for rewarding your servants the prophets17 and your saints and those who reverence your name, both small and great18-- and for destroying those who destroy the earth."
Then God's temple19 in heaven was opened, and within his temple was seen the ark of his covenant.20 And there came flashes of lightning, rumblings, peals of thunder,21 an earthquake and a great hailstorm.22
