12 The sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates,¹ and its water was dried up to prepare the way² for the kings from the East.³ 13 Then I saw three evil^a spirits⁴ that looked like frogs;⁵ they came out of the mouth of the dragon,⁶ out of the mouth of the beast⁷ and out of the mouth of the false prophet.⁸ 14 They are spirits of demons⁹ performing miraculous signs,¹⁰ and they go out to the kings of the whole world,¹¹ to gather them for the battle¹² on the great day¹³ of God Almighty. 15 "Behold, I come like a thief !¹⁴ Blessed is he who stays awake¹⁵ and keeps his clothes with him, so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed."¹⁶ 16 Then they gathered the kings together¹⁷ to the place that in Hebrew¹⁸ is called Armageddon.¹⁹
