Revelation 19:5-15 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
5 Then a voice came from the throne, saying: "Praise our God, all you his servants,1 you who fear him, both small and great!"2 6 Then I heard what sounded like a great multitude,3 like the roar of rushing waters4 and like loud peals of thunder, shouting: "Hallelujah!5 For our Lord God Almighty6 reigns.7 7 Let us rejoice and be glad and give him glory!8 For the wedding of the Lamb9 has come, and his bride10 has made herself ready. 8 Fine linen,11 bright and clean, was given her to wear." 9 Then the angel said to me,12 "Write:13 'Blessed are those who are invited to the wedding supper of the Lamb!' "14 And he added, "These are the true words of God."15 10 At this I fell at his feet to worship him.16 But he said to me, "Do not do it! I am a fellow servant with you and with your brothers who hold to the testimony of Jesus. Worship God!17 For the testimony of Jesus18 is the spirit of prophecy."

The Rider on the White Horse

11 I saw heaven standing open19 and there before me was a white horse, whose rider20 is called Faithful and True.21 With justice he judges and makes war.22 12 His eyes are like blazing fire,23 and on his head are many crowns.24 He has a name written on him25 that no one knows but he himself.26 13 He is dressed in a robe dipped in blood,27 and his name is the Word of God.28 14 The armies of heaven were following him, riding on white horses and dressed in fine linen,29 white30 and clean. 15 Out of his mouth comes a sharp sword31 with which to strike down32 the nations. "He will rule them with an iron scepter."a33 He treads the winepress34 of the fury of the wrath of God Almighty.
