Romans 1:1-9 (New International Version)

View In My Bible
1 Paul, a servant of Christ Jesus, called to be an apostle1 and set apart2 for the gospel of God3-- 2 the gospel he promised beforehand4 through his prophets5 in the Holy Scriptures6 3 regarding his Son, who as to his human nature7 was a descendant of David,8 4 and who through the Spirita of holiness was declared with power to be the Son of Godb9 by his resurrection from the dead:10 Jesus Christ our Lord.11 5 Through him and for his name's sake, we received grace12 and apostleship to call people from among all the Gentiles13 to the obedience that comes from faith.14 6 And you also are among those who are called to belong to Jesus Christ.15 7 To all in Rome who are loved by God16 and called to be saints:17 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and from the Lord Jesus Christ.18
