Paul, a servant of God1 and an apostle2 of Jesus Christ for the faith of God's elect and the knowledge of the truth3 that leads to godliness4--
a faith and knowledge resting on the hope of eternal life,5 which God, who does not lie,6 promised before the beginning of time,7
