And there arose certain
Two false witnesses, as in ( Matthew 26:60 ) , who stood up in court; for witnesses were obliged to stand, whilst they gave in their testimony:

``says R. Bo, in the name of R. Hona, witnesses ought (dwmel) , "to stand", whilst they bear witness; as it is said, ( Deuteronomy 19:17 ) . "Both the men shall stand" F13''

And bare false witness against him, saying;

55 And the chief priests and all of the council sought for witness against Jesus to put Him to death, and found none.
56 For many bore false witness against Him, but their witness agreed not together.
57 And there arose certain ones who bore false witness against Him, saying,
58 "We heard him say, `I will destroy this temple that is made with hands, and within three days I will build another made without hands.'"
59 But neither did their witness agree together.
