My soul yearns,2 even faints, for the courts of the LORD; my heart and my flesh cry out for the living God.33
Even the sparrow has found a home, and the swallow a nest for herself, where she may have her young-- a place near your altar,4 LORD Almighty,5 my King6 and my God.74
Blessed are those who dwell in your house; they are ever praising you.a5
Blessed are those whose strength8 is in you, whose hearts are set on pilgrimage.96
As they pass through the Valley of Baka, they make it a place of springs;10 the autumn11 rains also cover it with pools.b7
They go from strength to strength,12 till each appears13 before God in Zion.148
Hear my prayer,15 LORD God Almighty; listen to me, God of Jacob.
Look on our shield,c16 O God; look with favor on your anointed one.1710
Better is one day in your courts than a thousand elsewhere; I would rather be a doorkeeper18 in the house of my God than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
For the LORD God is a sun19 and shield;20 the LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold21 from those whose walk is blameless.
LORD Almighty, blessed22 are those who trust in you.
