35 And the childern of Israel dyd acordinge to the saynge of Moses: ad they borowed of the Egiptians: iewels of syluer, and iewels of gold, and rayment.

Exodus 12:35

And the children of Israel did according to the word of Moses,
&c.] ( Exodus 3:22 ) ( Exodus 11:2 Exodus 11:3 )

and they borrowed of the Egyptians jewels of silver, and jewels of
gold, and raiment;
or "they asked" F1 them of the Egyptians to give them them, which they readily did to get rid of them; for upon their being urgent with the Israelites to be gone in haste, they might reply, that they were not provided with things suitable for a journey, and therefore requested such things of them, which they at once freely consented to; (See Gill on Exodus 3:22), (See Gill on Exodus 11:2), (See Gill on Exodus 11:3).
