44And when Bela was dead, Jobab the son of Zerah of Bozrah reigned in his stead.45And when Jobab was dead, Husham of the land of the Temanites reigned in his stead.46And when Husham was dead, Hadad the son of Bedad, which smote Midian in the field of Moab, reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Avith.47And when Hadad was dead, Samlah of Masrekah reigned in his stead.48And when Samlah was dead, Shaul of Rehoboth by the river reigned in his stead.49And when Shaul was dead, Baalhanan the son of Achbor reigned in his stead.50And when Baalhanan was dead, Hadad reigned in his stead: and the name of his city was Pai; and his wife's name was Mehetabel, the daughter of Matred, the daughter of Mezahab.51Hadad died also. And the dukes of Edom were; duke Timnah, duke Aliah, duke Jetheth,
3The sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah: which three were born unto him of the daughter of Shua the Canaanitess. And Er, the firstborn of Judah, was evil in the sight of the LORD; and he slew him.
5And when his armourbearer saw that Saul was dead, he fell likewise on the sword, and died.6So Saul died, and his three sons, and all his house died together.7And when all the men of Israel that were in the valley saw that they fled, and that Saul and his sons were dead, then they forsook their cities, and fled: and the Philistines came and dwelt in them.
13So Saul died for his transgression which he committed against the LORD, even against the word of the LORD, which he kept not, and also for asking counsel of one that had a familiar spirit, to enquire of it;14And enquired not of the LORD: therefore he slew him, and turned the kingdom unto David the son of Jesse.
