AtthattimeJesuswent on the sabbath daythrough the corn;andhisdisciples were an hungred , andbegan to pluck the ears of corn,and to eat .

But when the Phariseessaw it, they said unto him,Behold , thydisciplesdo that whichisnotlawful to doupon the sabbath day.

But he said unto them,Have yenotreadwhatDaviddid , whenhe was an hungred , andthey that were with him;

How he entered into* the house of God,and did eat the shewbread*, whichwasnotlawful for him to eat , neither for them which were with him,butonly for the priests?

Or have yenotreadin the law, how that on the sabbath days the priestsin the templeprofane the sabbath,andareblameless?

But I say unto you,That in this place is one greater than the temple.

Butif ye had knownwhat this meaneth , I will havemercy,andnotsacrifice, ye wouldnot have condemned the guiltless.

And when he was departedthence, he wentintotheirsynagogue:

And,behold , there was a man which had his handwithered.And they askedhim,saying , Is it lawful* to heal on the sabbath days?that they might accusehim.
