1Now it was a Sabbath on the daywhenJesusmade the clay and opened his eyes.
15
2Then the Phariseesalso were asking him againhow he received his sight. And he said to them, "He appliedclay to my eyes, and I washed, and I see."
16
Thereforesome of the Pharisees were saying, "Thisman is not from God, because He 3does not keep the Sabbath." But others were saying, "Howcan a man who is a sinnerperformsuch4signs?" And 5there was a divisionamong them.
17
So they said to the blindman6again, "What do you sayabout Him, since He opened your eyes?" And he said, "He is a 7prophet."
18
8The Jewsthen did not believe it of him, that he had beenblind and had receivedsight, until they called the parents of the veryone who had received his sight,
19
and questioned them, saying, "Is this your son, who you say was bornblind? Thenhow does he nowsee?"
20
His parentsanswered them and said, "We know that this is our son, and that he was bornblind;
21
but how he nowsees, we do not know; orwhoopened his eyes, we do not know. Ask him; he is of age, he will speak for himself."
22
His parentssaidthisbecause they 9were afraid of the Jews; for the Jews10had alreadyagreed that ifanyoneconfessed Him to be Christ, 11he was to be put out of the synagogue.
23
For thisreason his parentssaid, "12He is of age; ask him."
24
So a secondtime they called the manwho had beenblind, and said to him, "13Giveglory to God; we know that 14thisman is a sinner."
