Isaiah 43:16-21

NIV 16 This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, NRS 16 Thus says the Lord, who makes a way in the sea, a path in the mighty waters, NIV 17 who drew out the chariots and horses, the army and reinforcements together, and they lay there, never to rise again, extinguished, snuffed out like a wick: NRS 17 who brings out chariot and horse, army and warrior; they lie down, they cannot rise, they are extinguished, quenched like a wick: NIV 18 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. NRS 18 Do not remember the former things, or consider the things of old. NIV 19 See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland. NRS 19 I am about to do a new thing; now it springs forth, do you not perceive it? I will make a way in the wilderness and rivers in the desert. NIV 20 The wild animals honor me, the jackals and the owls, because I provide water in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland, to give drink to my people, my chosen, NRS 20 The wild animals will honor me, the jackals and the ostriches; for I give water in the wilderness, rivers in the desert, to give drink to my chosen people, NIV 21 the people I formed for myself that they may proclaim my praise. NRS 21 the people whom I formed for myself so that they might declare my praise.
