Romans 5:1-8

KJV 1 Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ: NIV 1 Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, KJV 2 By whom also we have access by faith into this grace wherein we stand, and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. NIV 2 through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we boast in the hope of the glory of God. KJV 3 And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; NIV 3 Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; KJV 4 And patience, experience; and experience, hope: NIV 4 perseverance, character; and character, hope. KJV 5 And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us. NIV 5 And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us. KJV 6 For when we were yet without strength, in due time Christ died for the ungodly. NIV 6 You see, at just the right time, when we were still powerless, Christ died for the ungodly. KJV 7 For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. NIV 7 Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. KJV 8 But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. NIV 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
