1 El plan secreto de Dios<br />Cuando pienso en todo esto, yo, Pablo, prisionero de Cristo Jesús por el bien de ustedes, los gentiles...

2 A propósito, doy por sentado que ustedes saben que Dios me encargó de manera especial extenderles su gracia a ustedes, los gentiles.

3 Tal como antes les escribí brevemente, Dios mismo me reveló su misterioso plan.

4 Cuando lean esto que les escribo, entenderán la percepción que tengo de este plan acerca de Cristo.

5 Dios no se lo reveló a las generaciones anteriores, pero ahora, por medio de su Espíritu, lo ha revelado a sus santos apóstoles y profetas.

6 Y el plan de Dios consiste en lo siguiente: tanto los judíos como los gentiles que creen la Buena Noticia gozan por igual de las riquezas heredadas por los hijos de Dios. Ambos pueblos forman parte del mismo cuerpo y ambos disfrutan de la promesa de las bendiciones porque pertenecen a Cristo Jesús.

7 Por la gracia y el gran poder de Dios, se me ha dado el privilegio de servirlo anunciando esta Buena Noticia.

8 Aunque soy el menos digno de todo el pueblo de Dios, por su gracia él me concedió el privilegio de contarles a los gentiles acerca de los tesoros inagotables que tienen a disposición por medio de Cristo.

9 Fui elegido para explicarles a todos<br /> el misterioso plan que Dios, el Creador de todas las cosas, mantuvo oculto desde el comienzo.

10 El propósito de Dios con todo esto fue utilizar a la iglesia para mostrar la amplia variedad de su sabiduría a todos los gobernantes y autoridades invisibles que están en los lugares celestiales.

11 Ese era su plan eterno, que él llevó a cabo por medio de Cristo Jesús nuestro Señor.

12 Gracias a Cristo y a nuestra fe en él,<br /> podemos entrar en la presencia de Dios con toda libertad y confianza.

13 Por eso les ruego que no se desanimen a causa de mis pruebas en este lugar. Mi sufrimiento es por ustedes, así que deberían sentirse honrados.

1 For this reason I, Paul, the prisoner of Christ Jesus for the sake of you Gentiles—

2 Surely you have heard about the administration of God’s grace that was given to me for you,

3 that is, the mystery made known to me by revelation, as I have already written briefly.

4 In reading this, then, you will be able to understand my insight into the mystery of Christ,

5 which was not made known to people in other generations as it has now been revealed by the Spirit to God’s holy apostles and prophets.

6 This mystery is that through the gospel the Gentiles are heirs together with Israel, members together of one body, and sharers together in the promise in Christ Jesus.

7 I became a servant of this gospel by the gift of God’s grace given me through the working of his power.

8 Although I am less than the least of all the Lord’s people, this grace was given me: to preach to the Gentiles the boundless riches of Christ,

9 and to make plain to everyone the administration of this mystery, which for ages past was kept hidden in God, who created all things.

10 His intent was that now, through the church, the manifold wisdom of God should be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly realms,

11 according to his eternal purpose that he accomplished in Christ Jesus our Lord.

12 In him and through faith in him we may approach God with freedom and confidence.

13 I ask you, therefore, not to be discouraged because of my sufferings for you, which are your glory.
