9 The LORD said to Yehoshua, This day have I rolled away the reproach of Mitzrayim from off you. Therefore the name of that place was called Gilgal, to this day.

Then the LORD said to Joshua, “Today I have rolled away the reproach of Egypt from you.” So the place has been called Gilgal to this day.
