Proverbs 2:1-7

NLT 1 My child, listen to what I say, and treasure my commands. NIV 1 My son, if you accept my words and store up my commands within you, NLT 2 Tune your ears to wisdom, and concentrate on understanding. NIV 2 turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding— NLT 3 Cry out for insight, and ask for understanding. NIV 3 indeed, if you call out for insight and cry aloud for understanding, NLT 4 Search for them as you would for silver; seek them like hidden treasures. NIV 4 and if you look for it as for silver and search for it as for hidden treasure, NLT 5 Then you will understand what it means to fear the LORD, and you will gain knowledge of God. NIV 5 then you will understand the fear of the LORDand find the knowledge of God. NLT 6 For the LORD grants wisdom! From his mouth come knowledge and understanding. NIV 6 For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. NLT 7 He grants a treasure of common sense to the honest. He is a shield to those who walk with integrity. NIV 7 He holds success in store for the upright, he is a shield to those whose walk is blameless,
